A day in the life of the Slender Plan

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SLENDER PLAN...

Sarah from the Marketing team at Protein World shares her day using the Your Slender Plan.

I am using the Slender Plan for the next 4 weeks to feel healthier and fitter post Christmas! I love the way you can choose flavours and products that suit you, and am more likely to reach my goals quicker using the products I love. I have chosen Vanilla and Salted Caramel Slender Blend, Vanilla Porridge, Luminous capsules, Fat Metaboliser capsules and cookies & cream and rocky road Slender bars.

I'll start my day with a workout as I prefer to get my workouts completed in the morning so I know it's done and for me I have the most energy early morning rather than after a long day at work. I also feel like it sets me up for the day. I like to do a lot of high intensity interval training as I can get a real sweat on in 20-35 minutes.

Try this 25 minute HIIT workout which you can do at home or in the gym. Set a timer on your phone and complete exercises in order and repeat x4. Work for 40 seconds and rest for 20 seconds in between exercises.

I'll wake up around 7am and have a Slender Pre workout drink which gives me huge boost of energy that I need to get my workout done. My favourite is the Summer Fruits flavour but the peach tea also tastes amazing!

For breakfast I'll have the Slender Porridge in vanilla at around 9:30am just mixed with water. This is by far my favourite flavour of the Slender Porridge as I can add berries and peanut butter post workout. Today i've gone for 5 scoops of vanilla porridge mixed with water, half an apple with half a teaspoon of cinnamon. The best thing about the Slender Porridge is that I don’t have to worry about breakfast, I leave my tub at my desk at work and I know I have a balanced high protein porridge when I get to work.

I will normally have my breakfast with a Slender Tea to aid digestion. I will also take two Fat Metaboliser capsules as I often find I need a boost of caffeine in the first thing in the morning. As someone who doesn’t drink coffee, I find the Fat Metabolisers really effective. I will also take a Luminous capsule with every meal each day as I really find this helps improve the condition of my hair skin and nails.

After such a balanced breakfast, I am normally not hungry until around 1:30pm which is amazing! For lunch have a Slender Blend shake mixed with 400ml of almond milk. I prefer sweet over savoury so my go to flavours are vanilla, salted caramel, banana and gingerbread. I sometimes use the vanilla Slender Blend with a frozen banana and add the super seeds blend with almond milk to create a smoothie. As the Slender Blend is so high in protein and contains digestive enzymes, I’m not hunting the office for an unhealthy snack in the afternoon. I also have another 2 Fat Metaboliser capsules with my shake to keep my energy levels up.

Around 3pm I am usually a little peckish and craving something sweet so I’ll have a Slender Bar, which contains 12g protein and all natural ingredients so I know I’m having the best afternoon snack possible. My favourite flavour is the Cookie Dough closely followed by Rocky Road! If I’m out and about in the afternoon, I’ll pack a Slender Bar in my bag. It’s a great feeling to know you have a healthy option to hand when I’m on the go.

I normally get home from work around 7pm and start making dinner straight away. I usually go for something high protein, with lots of green vegetable and a portion of complex carbohydrates. My go to meal at the moment is chicken breast baked with peppers and sweet potatoes served with steamed broccoli. My other favourite meals include the sausage casserole recipe and the basil chicken stir fry with vegetables from the protein world website.

I really need something sweet after dinner so I will have 2 tablespoons of greek yoghurt with 1 scoop of Slender Blend and some frozen berries. This high protein snack really curbs my cravings and avoids me from wanting any chocolate after dinner!

One thing which I find missing from other diet plans is there is no structure to my days. The Your Plan gives me that structure and I am more organised and in control of my food choices, at the same time having flexibility which is essential as my life is busy. I know that I am eating healthy every day to help with my weight loss and fitness goals.
